Create your owner account
Where: Sign up as a seller
Sign-up has three short steps. Registering is free.
- Account: your name, email and a password.
- Company: your company name, a short description for buyers, and your website (optional).
- Terms: read and agree to the Owner Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and the confidentiality terms. Then open the email we send you and verify your account.
Choose a service plan
Where: Marketplace
When you create a listing, you first pick a plan under Select Your Service Plan:
- Basic Service (free): buyers see a short summary only, and buyer messages come through Acquire Marketplace.
- Seller Assistance: your full listing is shown and placed at the top of the marketplace. Priced by scope.
- Seller Consultation: the Acquire Marketplace team helps complete your listing and prepare for buyers. Priced by scope.
Build your listing
Where: Marketplace → Add New Listing
Fill in the sections you want to share: Listing Display, Company Information, Contact Information, Business Details, Financial Information, Seller Information and Marketplace Display Fields. Then click Create Listing.
Open What Buyers See at the bottom of the form to preview your listing. On Basic Service, buyers see only the marketplace display fields, not your company name or contact details. Details you write can still point to who you are, so choose them with care.
Get your listing live
New listings start as Pending. Buyers only see listings that are Active. The Acquire Marketplace team reviews new listings, and status changes show on your Updates page.
To change a listing later, open Marketplace and click Edit on it.
Prepare your documents
Where: Documents
Upload PDF, Word or Excel files (up to 50 MB each) under Documents and give each a type: Financial, Legal, Compliance, HR, Operations or Other.
Work through the checklist under Due Diligence one section at a time, and press Save as you go. Your progress shows on your dashboard.
When a buyer is interested
Where: Updates
Buyer inquiries and requests for your CIM or due-diligence documents go to the Acquire Marketplace team first. When a buyer is given access, you see a notice on your Updates page.
When your agency sells
You and the buyer negotiate directly, with your own advisors. What you need to report and any fees are set out in the Owner Terms of Service.
